Dr Rahul Sud is a kidney specialist with over 15 years of experience. He completed his undergraduate medical degree through UNSW, and medical training across Westmead, Concord, RPA and Liverpool Hospitals. Immediately after completing fellowship training, Rahul was handpicked to commence work as a consultant staff specialist at Liverpool Hospital. He was then closely involved in the establishment of the General Medicine department at Liverpool Hospital, wherein he continues to work as a senior consultant staff specialist on the hospital team.

Rahul is highly regarded for his compassionate and caring approach to his patients. He truly listens, and understands that every individual has a unique set of life challenges. His treatment plans are precisely planned for each individual, which he considers to be an essential part of treating people with kidney disease. Having grown up in Sydney suburbia, he is a true local to this beautiful city, and passionate about giving back, to improve health outcomes.

Rahul has special interests in caring for patients with chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, urinary abnormalities (such as protein or blood in the urine) and renal calculi. With his extensive experience in internal medicine, he also expertly manages any related systemic conditions you may have, such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and obesity. He keeps a strong focus on the prevention and early detection of complications that can arise as a consequence of kidney disease, including heart disease, electrolyte disturbances, anaemia, bone disorders and acid-base disturbances.

Rahul consults in English and Hindi, but he can also communicate with anyone who speaks another language with the use of telephone interpreter services at the clinic.
