Dr Robyn Laube is an accredited Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She graduated medical school with distinction from the University of NSW. She completed her advanced Gastroenterology training at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and a fellowship at Macquarie University Hospital.
Expertise
Dr Laube is passionate about providing high quality individualised care to each of her patients. She treats all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, iron deficiency anaemia and liver disease. Her subspecialty interest is inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and women’s health including pregnancy. Other clinical interests include functional gut disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and bowel cancer surveillance. She has a strong academic career with multiple publications in peer reviewed Gastroenterology journals. She recently completed a PhD on pregnancy in IBD, for which she was awarded the prestigious RACP Basser Research Entry Scholarship and published the Australian guidelines for the management of IBD during pregnancy and breastfeeding. She is actively involved in teaching and holds a Conjoint Lecturer position at Macquarie University.
Appointments
Dr Laube performs endoscopy lists at Macquarie University Hospital and Ryde Hospital. She has been awarded accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She also performs capsule endoscopy, polypectomy, bowel cancer surveillance, chromoendoscopy and haemorrhoid therapy.
Meet Dr Laube
Robyn enjoys spending time with her family and young son and daughter. She enjoys keeping active, regularly participating in salsa dancing, squash, running, cycling and bush walking. She loves travelling and is currently learning Spanish.
